Maria’s Cinderella run at Queens continues after she blasted the reigning Australian Open champion Madison Keys 6-3 7-6(3) in the semifinal win. It marked the third win over a seeded player for Maria, who also ousted Karolina Muchova 6-7(3) 7-5 6-1 and Elena Rybakina 6-4 7-6(4). Maria, a former Wimbledon Open, is defying father time at the age of 37 and she seems poised to add a prestigious grass-court title in the twilight of her career if Anisimova doesn’t find a way to cool down her waxing hot form.
