Alonzo Menifield (16-5-1) and Oumar Sy (11-0-0) will lock horns on Saturday night at the State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia. Alonzo “Atomic” Menifield will be looking to continue his road to recovery after recent setbacks. He bounced back from losses against Carlos Ulberg and Azamat Murzakanov to defeat Julius Walker in February this year via a split decision. He’s the older fighter by eight years in this bout and has lots of UFC experience. Still, his consistency can be questionable.
Oumar Sy, on the other hand, hasn’t tasted defeat in his professional MMA career. He participated in his first UFC fight in May 2024 against Tuco Tokkos, winning via a rear-naked choke in the first round. He got another chance to show what he could do in September against Da Woon Jung. This time, he won via a unanimous decision in the first round. This impressive form makes the 29-year-old Frenchman the bookmaker’s favorite in this light heavyweight matchup.
