For the second time in a week, Alex Michelsen and Arthur Fils will lock horns. Having battled it out in Brussels last week, where Fils won in straight sets, the pair will now clash in the Swiss city of Basel. On the evidence last week's encounter, this looks like a sizable opportunity for the world number eight to reach the third round in fairly simple style. 

Even at seemingly skinny odds of -189, Arthur Fils is worth betting on to get the job done. When he played Alex Michelsen last week, there was a clear gap in quality, and even if Michelsen delivers an improved effort, that gap is unlikely to be bridged here. The way in which the French player got rid of Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard in straight sets during the first round tells us that his game is in a more than good enough place to secure the win against a player who stuttered during the first round.
