Elite continental soccer, with the return of the UCL League Phase, which gets up and running on Tuesday, continuing on Wednesday, and in what is a newly designed schedule, Thursday too. Bettors have 18 fixtures to get stuck into across the three days.

On top of the player props detailed below, you can check out all of our UEFA Champions League picks.

Club Brugge vs Aston Villa: Emiliano Buendia 1+ Shots on Target (-125)

Following their run to the UEFA Europa League title last season, the Aston Villa boys will be playing in the UCL this time around, beginning their campaign with an assignment in the Belgian city of Brugge.

At odds of -125, ahead of Tuesday’s game at Jan Breydel Stadium, ‘Emiliano Buendia 1+ Shots on Target’ catches the eye. The Argentine has looked hungry for goals at the start of the new season, taking more shots than any other Aston Villa player over the course of the first three Premier League weekends.

We also saw Buendia get into some dangerous positions against PSG in the recently concluded UEFA Super Cup, taking two shots. If we add in that Buendia registered two shots on target in both the semi-final (second leg) and the final of the UEL last season, odds of -125 start to look like a less than fair reflection of his threat. In other words, such odds offer value for money.

Real Madrid vs Inter: Lautaro Martinez to Score (+255)

Martinez

Moving on to the game between Real Madrid and Inter, which is arguably the most mouth-watering tie during the first round of League Phase games.

Having wobbled a little at the start of Jose Mourinho’s second spell, losing their most recent LaLiga game without scoring, the hosts will be looking to make statement, though they’ll need to improve if they’re to outclass an Inter team that has looked hot during the early weeks of the new Serie A season.

One player who looks set to cause problems for the hosts is Lautaro Martinez, who has already scored twice in the Italian top flight, and let’s face it, the forward has shown a serious appetite in the final third, firing off 16 shots in three appearances.

We’re also talking about a man who has scored 13 goals in his last 22 Champions League appearances, notching against the likes of Bayern and Barcelona during that time. At odds of +255, Inter’s main man rates as a hugely viable scorer.

Liverpool vs Atletico Madrid: Ademola Lookman 1+ Shots on Target (-125)

As Liverpool and Atletico Madrid clash at Anfield on Wednesday evening, it’s worth betting on visiting forward Ademola Lookman to register a shot on target at odds of -125.

Once of Everton, the dynamic and dangerous player scored six goals in 20 appearances (in all competitions) following a mid-season move from Atalanta last term, and he’s begun the new season like a man determined to become a key player for Diego Simeone’s team.

After joining Atletico in January of last season, Lookman delivered some strong UCL performances, especially from a shooting point of view, averaging 2.80 shots per 90 minutes, as well as 1.12 shots on target. At the start of the 2026/27 season, the 28-year-old is averaging 2.17 shots per 90, plus 0.92 shots on target. Not bad at all.

Against a Liverpool team that has looked very open on the break during the early weeks of the EPL campaign, the pacey and direct Lookman should really be priced less generously to fire off at least one shot on target.

The three picks above, when combined into a three-leg parlay, pay out at eye-catching odds +977 (DraftKings).
