CONMEBOL World Cup Qualifiers: Player Props to Pique Your Interest
by Bradley Gibbs | by Bradley Gibbs

The road to the 2026 FIFA World Cup is already mapped out for the likes of Brazil, Ecuador and reigning world Champions Argentina, who even with two games to play are guaranteed to top the CONMEBOL qualifying standings.
It also looks highly likely that both Uruguay and Paraguay will feature in the next renewal of soccer’s greatest show on earth, while the Colombians are in a strong position also, needing just one win from their last two games to get over the line.
For Peru and Chile, there is no longer a viable path, with both nations falling short, even with two games to go. However, for the Bolivians and the Venezuelans, there’s a serious fight to be fought over the next week. Right now, it is the latter who sit in the one and only playoff place but their closest rivals are just one point behind, so as far as those two nations are concerned, there’s everything left to play for.
Ahead of the next round of CONMEBOL qualifiers, I’ve done a little digging to try and uncover some viable player props, much as I did to profitable effect earlier in the year.
Argentina vs Venezuela: Jefferson Savarino 1+ Shots on Target

We’ll begin things with a bet on Venezuela’s Jefferson Savarino to register a shot on target away in Argentina. Of course, an away game against the current world champions is not going to be easy, but the hosts have already qualified and probably won’t be at their most intense, so there’s definitely hope for the visitors here.
There will be chances for Venezuela in this game, likely on the break, which is where Savarino can be a serious threat. The Botafogo man has two goals to his name during the current qualification campaign, scoring both of those goals away from the comforts of home.
We’re also talking about a player that has averaged 2.29 shots per 90 minutes, as well as 1.27 shots on target, with Savarino taking the second-most shots for Venezuela in qualifying. Such stats make odds of +170 (DraftKings) look far too big if you ask me.
Colombia vs Bolivia: Miguelito 1+ Shots on Target

I also like the look of lively youngster Miguelito, who will certainly be keen to go for goal as the Bolivians travel to Colombia, where they’ll be hopeful of getting a positive result in their quest for a first World Cup appearance since 1994.
Miguel Terceros, better known as Miguelito, has been Bolivia’s best offensive performer in qualifying, scoring no fewer than six goals, including one in the reverse fixture against Colombia.
Far from shy to shoot, the 21-year-old, who has displayed a clear hunger for goals, is averaging 2.29 shots per 90 minutes, as well as 1.20 shots on target per 90. Factor in that he took three shots (and scored) in the reverse fixture and he looks a nice bet to work the opposing keeper at odds of +140.
Paraguay vs Ecuador: Antonio Sanabria to Score

Finally, as the Paraguayans look to cement their position in the 2026 World Cup with a home win over an already-qualified Ecuador, I cannot help but bet on Antonio Sanabria to find the net.
The forward, who has had a hard time with injury over a number of years, has enjoyed himself during this qualification period, scoring four goals, averaging a whopping 0.87 goals per 90 minutes. The man who now plays for Italian Serie A minnows Cremonese still knows his way to goal, make no mistake about that.
The visitors have nothing to play for here, while the Paraguayans are very hard to beat at home anyway, as their recent record (five wins from five) suggests. Sanabria has notched three goals in Paraguay’s last four home games, making odds of +330 (available at DraftKings at the time of writing) look a little too generous.
