The final matchday of the English Premier League kicks off this Sunday, giving every team one last shot to make a strong impression. What’s already certain: Liverpool are champions. And in a strange twist, the three relegated teams (Ipswich, Leicester, and Southampton) are the same three that were just promoted this season.

Unfinished Business in the Premier League

Arsenal have all but locked up second place, sitting three points and eight goals ahead of Manchester City. But after that, it’s wide open. The battle for European spots is heating up. Here's the current outlook: Arsenal (71 points) are followed by Manchester City (68), Newcastle (66), Chelsea (66), Aston Villa (66), and Nottingham Forest (65). And get this: Nottingham and Chelsea face off head-to-head! With five Champions League spots up for grabs, two of these clubs are going to miss out.

As always, a few mid-table teams around 10th place have nothing left to play for, which makes betting on the Premier League a bit trickier on the final day. The same goes for Tottenham and Manchester United, who are coming off a European final and may not be at full intensity. Still, there’s no shortage of drama across the league.

Nottingham vs. Chelsea: Match of the Day?

The spotlight is definitely on Nottingham vs. Chelsea. Both clubs are gunning for a Champions League spot, and if Forest can pull off a win, they’ll leapfrog the Blues and take control of their fate. Chelsea haven’t exactly been in dominant form lately, so Forest won’t be intimidated.

Nottingham’s chances look decent. It’ll be all about executing their game plan, tight defense paired with quick transitions, right from the first whistle. If they can do that, they’re in with a real shot.

Man City Aiming to Seal It at Fulham

PL Final Matchday 2025: Man City

It's Kevin De Bruyne's farewell as Manchester City head to Fulham with a clear objective: take care of business. But that’s often easier said than done. Craven Cottage can be a tough place to play, and Fulham are looking to play spoiler and give Pep Guardiola’s side a rough afternoon. One player City are banking on is Omar Marmoush, who’s been in top form. He scored a stunner against Bournemouth recently and will be key again.

Can Man United Crush Villa’s CL Dreams?

This week, and really this whole season, has been a disaster for Manchester United. They lost the Europa League final, and things look bleak. Now they host Aston Villa, who are hoping United’s poor morale will work in their favor.

Villa still have a real shot at the Champions League, but they’ll need a strong performance on the road. Breaking United’s resistance early will be crucial.

Newcastle: A Home Win Away

EPL Final Matchday 2025: Newcastle

Newcastle United’s task is simple on paper: beat Everton at home and they’re in good shape. But recent struggles, like their away loss to Arsenal, raise questions. They created chances in that game, but lacked the finishing touch. If they can rediscover their attacking edge, they should handle Everton. Given the stakes, three points at home are a must.

Liverpool: A Farewell Show at Anfield?

Liverpool will lift the Premier League trophy at Anfield after their final game against Brighton, and the Reds will be eager to put on a show for the home crowd. But Fabian Hürzeler’s Brighton, currently eighth, have no intention of playing the supporting role. They’re in solid form and could make things more competitive than expected.
