From December 17 to 21, 2025, Jeddah will host exciting matches between the best players under 21 on the ATP Tour. This will be an opportunity to see a new winner emerge, as defending champion João Fonseca will not be there to defend his title.

Next Gen ATP Finals: The World's Top Young Players Battle It Out

Every year, in the spirit of the men's Finals, the highest-ranked young players compete in a final tournament to determine who is the strongest at the end of the season.

In a special format with best-of-three sets and best-of-four games, the tournament brings the year and our tennis predictions to a spectacular close.

This is an opportunity to see the eight best players of the year in the Race rankings, who will be divided into two groups:

Blue team:

  • Learner Tien (#28)
  • Martin Landaluce (#135)
  • Nicolai Budkov Kjaer (#133)
  • Rafael Jodar (#167)

Red team:

  • Alexander Blockx (#115)
  • Dino Prizmic (#127)
  • Nishesh Basavareddy (#166)
  • Justin Engel (#182)

In each group, the two players with the most wins will advance to the semifinals on Saturday, December 20, 2025, to compete for a spot in Sunday's final. Who will succeed the Brazilian?

Next Gen ATP Finals: Belgium's first title?

Alexander Blockx tops the red group. Currently ranked 115th in the world, the 20-year-old Belgian has gone from strength to strength this year. On the Challenger circuit, he won two of his three finals, triumphing in Oeiras and Bratislava.

He also made his real debut on the ATP circuit, notably participating in the Miami Masters 1000 qualifiers. However, his best performance remains his first ATP victory at the Cincinnati Open against American Marcos Giron.

With promising results and a fiery mentality, Alexander Blockx arrives prepared and ready to fight for the title in Saudi Arabia. Keep this in mind for your tennis predictions.

ATP Next Gen: An Easy Win for Tien?

With the withdrawal of the two highest-ranked young players, Jakub Mensik (19th) and João Fonseca (24th), the new top seed is Learner Tien. This name should be familiar to you given the American's season.

Tien has made a huge leap in the rankings, rising from 122nd to the top 30 in just one season. He has racked up victories on the major circuit, winning the ATP 250 tournament in Metz and reaching the final of the ATP 500 in Beijing and the fourth round of the Australian Open.

These results are the reward for his unwavering perseverance and fighting spirit, which helped him win five times against members of the Top 10 in 2025. It's hard not to imagine him taking revenge after his defeat in the final in Jeddah last year, as his journey has given us so much to dream about this season.

Our Next Gen ATP Finals winner prediction: Learner Tien wins the title!
