How We Collect Personal Information

Below you will find all the information relating to the management of the data we collect.

Information you give us directly

We only collect personal data when you choose to provide it. For example, your name, email address, or date of birth when you sign up for our newsletter.

You may also provide personal data when registering for a forum or another service that requires it. Please note that anything you post in our open community forums can be seen by anyone visiting our sites or apps, so we recommend avoiding sensitive personal information in public posts.

Automatically collected information

When you visit our sites, our third-party partners and we may automatically collect certain information using cookies, web beacons, and similar technologies. This can include your IP address, device and browser details, operating system information, and other technical data about how you access our site.

We may also collect session identifiers and track your browsing path across our websites. We, or our partners, may combine this automatically collected data with other information you've provided us.

Types of cookies we use

The SportyTrader websites and mobile application use the following types of cookies:

  • Technical cookies: required for the website to function.
  • Operational cookies: used to deliver the services you request.
  • Analytics cookies: help us understand how visitors use the site and what content interests them, so we can improve our service.
  • Social cookies: used by social networks (Facebook, Google, Twitter) to enable interaction with social widgets on the site.
  • Affiliate cookies: track visitors referred from partner sites we have affiliate agreements with.
  • Behavioural and advertising cookies: collect data on your preferences to serve personalised ads, including on other websites.

Data Retention and Access to Information

We keep your personal data only as long as necessary for the purpose it was collected,  for example, to let you use our site or services.

In some cases, we retain data longer to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, or for other legitimate business reasons.

All personal data we hold is subject to this policy and our internal retention rules.

Under the GDPR (Regulation (EU) 2016/679), you have the right to:

  • Right of access (art. 15): obtain confirmation that data concerning you is being processed and obtain a copy of it.
  • Right to rectification (art. 16): have inaccurate or incomplete data corrected.
  • Right to erasure (art. 17): request the deletion of your data in the cases provided for by the GDPR.
  • Right to portability (art. 20): receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
  • Right to object (art. 21): object to the processing of your data based on legitimate interest.
  • Right to restriction (art. 18): request the temporary suspension of a processing operation.
  • Withdrawal of consent (art. 7): withdraw your consent at any time for the processing that depends on it (newsletter, advertising cookies), without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out beforehand.

Transfers Outside the European Union

Some of our technical providers (analytics tools, advertising networks) may process data outside the European Union. In this case, SportyTrader ensures that these transfers are governed by appropriate safeguards, in particular the Standard Contractual Clauses adopted by the European Commission (Implementing Decision (EU) 2021/914).

Automated Decision-Making

SportyTrader does not carry out any fully automated decision-making producing legal effects or significantly affecting you within the meaning of Article 22 of the GDPR, except the fraud detection mechanism described in the Member Area section below, which does not produce automatic effects without human intervention.

How We Protect Your Data

We take data protection seriously and have administrative, technical, and physical safeguards in place to protect your personal data against accidental or unlawful destruction, loss, alteration, unauthorised access, disclosure, or use.

That said, no method of online data transmission is completely secure, so you accept some inherent risk when submitting information through any website, including ours. Questions about data security can be sent to request@skores.com.

Our sites contain links to other websites. Each has its own terms of use and privacy practices, and we're not responsible for the content or privacy policies of sites we don't control. Please check the privacy policy of any third-party site you visit.

SportyTrader Member Area & 2026 World Cup Prize Draw

As part of the SportyTrader Member Area, new processing of personal data is being implemented. This section supplements the general policy and informs you precisely about this processing, in accordance with Article 13 of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR).

2. Recipients of the data

Your data collected as part of the Member Area may be transmitted to the following recipients, acting as processors within the meaning of Article 28 of the GDPR:

  • OVH: hosts and authenticates our user database. Data is hosted within the EU. Supabase acts as a processor; Skores Media SAS remains the data controller.
  • Mailjet: sends transactional emails (confirmations, welcome messages) and marketing emails. Only your email address and opt-in status are shared.
  • DepotJeux, via the office of Maître Doniol, judicial officer (7 rue Jean Jaurès – 77410 Claye-Souilly), via DepotJeux:  handles filing of the official rules and certification of the prize draw. Only the winner's name and email address are shared, and only for certification purposes.

We do not share any Member Area data with third-party commercial partners for advertising purposes without your prior, explicit consent.

3. Double opt-in and proof of consent

Registering for the Member Area requires email confirmation (double opt-in). Your entry into the prize draw is only valid once you've confirmed.

4. Declaration of residence and fraud prevention

When registering, you confirm that you don't reside in a country excluded from the prize draw (see the official rules for the full list). To prevent fraudulent entries, we may run verification checks based on our legitimate interest in protecting the integrity of the draw. If we find a discrepancy, your account may be flagged for review before any prize is awarded. No automated decision is made without human review.

5. Account deletion

You can request the deletion of your account and all your data at any time by accessing the dedicated page on the SportyTrader platform or by contacting request@skores.com. Effective deletion takes place within 30 calendar days. You may withdraw your request during this period by contacting our support team.

In accordance with our legal obligations, the anonymized registration logs relating to your participation in the prize draw are kept for 3 years as evidence, including after the account is deleted.
