Two teams that failed to win five Premier League matches in December will face off to close out the year. West Ham will host Brighton at the London Stadium.

With a squad valued at nearly €375 million, a relegation for West Ham could be catastrophic, but with half the Premier League season still to play, that's precisely what's happening. The Hammers lost to Manchester City and also to Fulham in London, which meant they could not capitalize on the two losses suffered by Nottingham Forest, leaving them unable to close the 5-point gap between themselves and the Tricky Trees.

At home, only Wolves have a worse record than West Ham this season, having managed just six out of a possible 27 points. The Seagulls are coming off a loss against the league leaders; despite that, 22-year-old Paraguayan striker Diego Gómez scored a goal that put Arsenal in trouble. Not only do the Seagulls have the youngest manager in the Premier League, but they also fielded the squad with the youngest average age in the Premier League this season.
