Minnesota Lynx (14-2) and Washington Mystics (8-9) will clash on Thursday night at Target Center. The Lynx will be looking for a quick response after losing 59-74 to Indiana on Thursday night in the Commissioner’s Cup. Although this doesn’t count towards the regular season standings, the Lynx will be disappointed by their performance after losing three of their four quarters by considerable margins. A big win on Thursday night should put them firmly back on track.
Washington Mystics, on the other hand, will enter this matchup with fresher legs, having played their last game on Sunday last weekend. They saw their three-game winning run end against the Wings, losing 79-71 on the road. This result means they failed to close the gap with Indiana in the Eastern Conference, remaining 6.5 games behind the Liberty in the fourth spot. They certainly need to be more consistent to stay in the playoff hunt.
