Victoria Mboko looks to continue her fairytale run to the women’s singles final of the 2025 Canadian Open as she squares off with another Grand Slam champion, Elena Rybakina of Kazakhstan, in Wednesday’s semifinal in Montreal, Canada.
Mboko clinched her spot in the semifinal round with a surgical victory over Jessica Bouzas Maneiro of Spain on Monday, 6-4, 6-2. The 19-year-old Canadian played beyond her years, displaying the composure of a seasoned veteran and the boundless energy of a young player. Mboko posted a 68 percent win rate on her first serves, helping her hold all but two service games. However, Mboko dealt more damage as a returner as she shattered Maneiro’s five times. Mboko, who eliminated major champions such as Sofia Kenin and Coco Gauff in the previous rounds, arranged another duel with another Grand Slam-winning opponent, Elena Rybakina.
The former Wimbledon Open champion will take her impeccable form into the semifinals of the Canadian Open following another masterful win over Marta Kostyuk of Ukraine 6-1 2-1 ret. Rybakina denied Kostyuk any chance of establishing momentum as she captured 77 percent of her first serves and broke her thrice. Down a set and a game in the second set, Kostyuk retired due to an apparent arm injury, awarding the victory to Rybakina, who scored her second consecutive win over a Ukrainian after ousting Dayana Yastremska in the fourth round 5-7, 6-2, 7-5.

Our Victoria Mboko vs Elena Rybakina Prediction
Fearless Forecast – Elena Rybakina survives a gritty battle with Victora Mboko.
Victoria Mboko will test Elena Rybakina in their first-ever duel on the WTA Tour. The Canadian rising star has been near unbeatable in hard-court matches this year, with a 17-2 record. Although Rybakina’s current form and experience in high-stakes situations should help her survive another grueling match, Mboko will not go down without a fight. She will pressure and challenge Rybakina for every big point in this duel. Mboko will beat the spread.
Now, here’s how you can turn your $100 bet into a $374 payout on DraftKings.
Parlay your bet on Mboko to cover +2.5 games spread with two more bets that I believe have a high chance of hitting on Wednesday. Use the second slot on Over 21.5 games because I think this won’t be a walk-in-the-park match for both players. I am predicting a three-set tussle between these two excellent hard-court players. To complete the 3-pick parlay, lock in your final bet on Mboko at +1.5 sets. On her way to the finals, the Canadian has already defeated two former Grand Slam champions. I wouldn’t be surprised if he wins a set against another major champion in the semis with the form she has displayed in the past two weeks.
Our betting prediction for Victoria Mboko vs. Elena Rybakina: Victoria Mboko +2.5 games.
