The Utah Mammoth attempt to stave off elimination in Game 6 against the Vegas Golden Knights on Friday night at the Delta Center.
Chasing the first playoff series win in franchise history, Utah made a strong start, grabbing a 2-1 lead. But two overtime losses have put the team in an uncomfortable situation. However, Andre Tourigny's side has home-ice advantage in Friday's must-win game.
The Mammoth had a solid 22-16-3 record at the Delta Center during the regular season, averaging slightly more goals per game than they did on the road. The team has an exciting attack with Dylan Guenther, Logan Cooley, and Clayton Keller.
Keller will ride a three-game point streak into Friday's contest and will look to lead by example as the Mammoth captain. With him and Guenther in top form, Tourigny can roll out two potent scoring lines, making the job very difficult for the Golden Knights' defense.
Vegas leads the series 3-2, but John Tortorella's men have been second-best in this matchup. They have been behind in all five games during the third period. Previously, no team in NHL history had held a series lead after five games in these circumstances.
