Mirra Andreeva of Russia looks to sustain her hot form as she takes on Varvara Gracheva of France in the second round of the 2025 Indian Wells Open. Andreeva has just won her first of many WTA 1000 events at the Dubai Tennis Championship, trouncing Clara Tauson of Denmark in a lopsided result in the final. At only 17, Andreeva rattled off six straight wins, including back-to-back victories against world’s No.2 Iga Swiatek 6-3 6-3 in the quarterfinals and world’s No.5 Elena Rybakina 6-4 4-6 6-3 in the semis. Meanwhile, Gracheva is fresh off a huge win over multiple-time Grand Slam winner Petra Kvitova 4-6 6-3 6-4 in the first round. Gracheva persevered after dropping the first set, winning 68 percent of her first serves and scoring 4 of 6 breakpoint conversions in the second and third set to make the comeback possible.
