Breakout star Valentin Royer looks to earn his spot in the final of the 2025 Hangzhou Open against countryman Corentin Moutet on Monday.

Valentin Royer extended his run at the Hangzhou Open after downing Learner Tien 7-6(0) 4-6 6-2. The 24-year-old Royer has now won his last five matches, including a stunning win over No.1 seed Andrey Rublev 6-4, 7-6. Royer, who needed to go through the qualifier to secure a main draw appearance, is 12-6 on the hard court this year.
Corentin Moutet captured his fourth straight victory after besting Tomas Martin Etcheverry of Argentina 6-3, 3-0 ret. in the quarterfinals. Moutet, who defeated Dino Prezmic and Marin Cilic at the Davis Cup World Group, gutted out a three-set win over fellow Frenchman Arthur Cazaux 6-7, 6-3, 7-6 in the first round. He is 14-9 on the hard court in 2025.
