The USC Trojans will host the Utah State Aggies on Saturday night in the friendly confines of the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum in Los Angeles, CA. It will be the seventh time the two schools have played; the Trojans have been the home team and winner for every game. USC fans will be on a high after watching their team beat then-No. 13 LSU last weekend, 27-20. The Aggies also won their home opener last weekend, taking down an FCS school, Robert Morris, 36-14.
USC entered the season with a ton of question marks after losing several key players on the offensive side of the ball. Could Miller Moss step in and pick up where Caleb Williams left off? Could the defense step it up and help the team win a few close games? Is Lincoln Riley overrated? All of them were not answered in the win over LSU. However, Miller Moss appears to be more than capable of getting the job done at QB. While the defense did give up 300+ yards in the passing game, it made some clutch plays in the second half when the team needed them.
Utah State's offense had a field day against Robert Morris' defense, with 300+ yards in the passing game and on the ground. However, while both quarterbacks averaged over nine yards per attempt, they combined to throw three interceptions on the day. Robert Morris was unable to take advantage of them and score points, but a team with a much better offense (i.e., USC) certainly will.

It is certainly not hard to figure out who will win this game. Robert Morris struggled to get on track against an FCS team last week; the score was just 14-10 at the half. They could have been behind had the Colonials been able to capitalize on one of the Aggies' three first-half interceptions. USC's defense could shut down the Utah State offense completely. Miller Moss should have another big game in a blowout win.
