The 2025/26 NHL season wasn’t expected to have the Utah Mammoth as one of the top performers at the beginning of the season; however, it looks like the rebranding and the transfers have allowed them to turn into one of the best teams in the league. With their recent success in mind, the Mammoth will face a new big challenge this Tuesday night, as they’ll play as visitors against one of the toughest opponents in the league, like the Edmonton Oilers.

For this game, it makes sense not to have the Utah Mammoth as favorites to win, but it cannot be ignored that they recently got a very impressive victory over the Winnipeg Jets in Canadian territory. Additionally, they are the only team in the Western Conference that was able to win their last five games in a row, it being worth noting that their last four victories were over divisional opponents.

Meanwhile, the Edmonton Oilers have faced a challenging start to the season, but despite this, they are still very close to the playoff spots in the Western Conference. Even though it must be noted that the Oilers were only able to win one of their last five games in regulation time, results that clearly show that a significant improvement is needed in their defensive performance, as they have conceded 32 goals so far this season.
