The United States men’s basketball team is up and ready to defend their gold medal in men’s 5x5 basketball competition at the 2024 Olympics, kicking off their campaign in Paris against international basketball powerhouse Serbia at Pierre Mauroy Stadium, Lille on July 28. As expected, the latest itineration of Team USA’s Dream Team features many stars and basketball legends such as LeBron James, Steph Curry, Kevin Durant, Anthony Davis and a lot more. This team is built to claim their fifth straight gold medal in men’s basketball, though they understand that the competition will be a lot tougher this time around as the rest of the world has now reached the level where they can compete with the Americans at the highest level of basketball. Meanwhile, Serbia banners a solid team in Paris led by three-time NBA regular-season MVP Nikola Jokic. The Serbian last medaled in the Rio Olympics where they placed runners-up to the Americans. But to get back to the podium, they must first prove first they can hold their own against the star-studded USA team right off the bat.
