The United States remains competitive at major events, regardless of the team's lineup. Bulgaria, meanwhile, will rediscover the joys of the top 8 after a 15-year absence. In 2010, a certain Vladimir Nikolov was part of the Bulgarian team. In 2025, it will be his sons Simeon and Aleksandar who will be in the quarterfinals, with the two brothers largely responsible for Bulgaria's success. After finishing first in the group stage with three wins in three matches, Gianlorenzo Blengini's men did not disappoint in the round of 16, clearly dominating Portugal in three sets (25-19, 25-23, 25-13). On the rise, Bulgaria will face a big test on Thursday against the USA. But full of spirit and determination, this Bulgarian team can move mountains.
