The No. 2 Michigan Wolverines (23-1, 13-1 Big Ten) will try to keep the good times rolling Saturday afternoon when they host the UCLA Bruins at the Crisler Center in Ann Arbor, MI. Fans can follow the action on CBS once the game gets underway at 12:45 p.m. EST.
Michigan got the season off to a 14-0, 4-0 start before hitting their first and only roadblock to date, the Wisconsin Badgers (Jan. 10). The Wolverines led by one at the half, 38-37, and the game remained close in the second half. But a three-pointer by Andrew Rhode gave the Badgers a four-point lead, 88-84, with roughly three minutes left. Michigan ended up losing by three, 91-88. The Wolverines got back on track in their next game, beating Washington by ten, and they haven’t lost since (nine in a row). As for UCLA, the Bruins have had their issues with ranked teams, losing games to No. 5 Arizona, No. 8 Gonzaga, and No. 25 Iowa, but they have improved throughout the season and beat the last ranked team they faced, No. 4 Purdue (69-67).
When they faced off last season in Los Angeles, Michigan beat UCLA in dominant fashion, 94-75.

I’m a little shaky on the spread, but it feels like the way to go. Michigan is the better team between the two, but UCLA is not a bad team. Their offense is not as productive as the Wolverines', but they play good defense, allowing just one more point per game than Michigan. For that reason, I don’t believe the Wolverines will cover this spread.
