Having already been knocked out of the tournament, it’s easy to simply say that the Turks were disappointing, but that’s not entirely true. There was nothing wrong with the intensity of Vincenzo Montella’s men in either of their two games, and they certainly got on the front foot, while they weren’t shy to get shots off. Unfortunately, the shots often came from the wrong place, and from the wrong players, while even when they did create big chances, they were hugely wasteful.
