Beleaguered Tottenham Hotspur host Crystal Palace on Thursday night, as they look to secure their first victory of the calendar year.
Sunday's limpo 2-1 loss at Fulham was Tottenham's fourth league reverse in a row and means they have now picked up just two points from their last eight fixtures. That woeful run of results has dropped them to within four points of the relegation places, and unless new boss Igor Tudor can turn things around quickly, Spurs could find themselves dropping out of the top flight for the first time since 1977.
Palace have also been in dreadful form over the last few months; however, last week's nervy 1-0 win over Wolves has eased any lingering relegation fears at Selhurst Park. Palace were somewhat unfortunate to fall to a 2-1 defeat at Manchester United on Sunday. If they can produce a similar display on Thursday night, they will have every chance of leaving the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium with all three points.
