The Cleveland Cavaliers will try once again to close out their first-round series vs. the Toronto Raptors on Sunday, May 3. Game Seven of the series is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. EST at Rocket Arena with coverage via NBC.
Cleveland had to overcome a fourth-quarter deficit in Game 6 to force overtime. With 25.6 seconds to go, they held a one-point lead, and it looked like they would steal a win for a moment when RJ Barrett threw up a 29-foot 3-point attempt. But after a fortuitous bounce, the ball went in, giving Toronto the lead and forcing Game 7.
The No. 4 vs. No. 5 series in the first round is expected to be the more competitive, and this series has not disappointed. Game 6 was the only one decided by a bucket, but the Cavs and Raptors' offenses are both averaging 111.5 points per game. Toronto has shot slightly better than Cleveland (40.7% to 39.8%). The Raptors' defense has a slightly better defensive rating (112.4) than the Cavaliers' (113.2).
As they are scoring the same points per game, they are allowing the same as well (tied for 11th best in the first round).

If the home-team pattern holds, picking this one is easy—Cleveland will win. But there is no value in betting the moneyline, so that leaves betting on the spread or total. With how the last game went, I don’t trust the Cavaliers to cover an 8.5-point spread. However, both offenses have been performing well (overall) in this series, with the defense doing just enough. Every game in this series but one (Game 5) went over this total. If anything, I think we’ll see more fireworks and a higher score.
