The Toronto Blue Jays will go for three in a row against the Detroit Tigers on Saturday at Comerica Park.
The Jays pushed their winning streak to three games after another convincing win over the Tigers, 6-2. Toronto delivered another strong pitching performance, as starter Jose Berrios yielded only two earned runs and five hits over six innings. The Jays, who are averaging 6.9 runs per game on .296 batting average in their last five games, raced to a 6-1 lead with Bo Bichette finishing with two RBIs.
Th Tigers have now lost their last five games, sending their record down to 60-45, still No.1 in the AL Central. Detroit hasn’t looked like the team that dominated the first half of the season over the past five games, averaging only 2.4 runs per game and a 6.86 ERA.
