There’s a huge game for the men from Music City on Tuesday evening, when the Major League Soccer team will take on Liga MX’s Tigres away from home, battling for a place in the final of the CONCACAF Champions Cup.
The Nashville boys are looking to make history by reaching the final of this continental competition for the first time, while the same can be said for the hosts, who’ve also never featured in the CONCACAF Champions Cup Final.
The first leg, which took place at Geodis Park, was very much a game between two teams that are on the verge of making history. In other words, it was cagey and lacking in final-third quality as both teams displayed a fair amount of nervousness. Having edged ahead on the road, the hosts now look to complete the job on home soil, and in truth, it’s hard to bet against them doing just that.
