The Texas Tech Red Raiders (23-10) will try to earn a spot in the Sweet 16 today when they take on the Alabama Crimson Tide (24-9) at the Benchmark International Arena in Tampa, FL. Fans can follow the action once the game gets underway at 9:45 p.m. EST on TBS.

At one time, Texas Tech was viewed as a solid dark horse contender for the national championship, but then they lost future NBA lottery pick JT Toppin to a season-ending injury. They surprised people by winning their first three games after the injury, but then lost their last two regular-season games and had a quick exit from the Big 12 Tournament. Some had them picked as a potential first-round upset, but they beat Akron by 20 points.

As for Alabama, the Crimson Tide have been a fun team to watch all season, playing at a fast pace and boasting the No. 1 scoring offense in the nation. However, that offense is powered by three-pointers, as the Tide takes more than anyone in the country and makes the second-most.
