The Phillies remain at the top of the National League East standings with a 35-14 record, six games ahead of the second-placer Atlanta Braves (27-18). The Rangers suffered their second straight loss and 8th of their last 10 games. Despite their recent struggles, Texas (24-25) are just three games below the AL West leader Seattle Mariners (27-22).
