The No. 12 BYU Cougars will try to get back on the right side of the scoreboard this week, after losing to Texas Tech last week, when they host the TCU Horned Frogs Saturday night at LaVell Edwards Stadium in Provo, UT. Kickoff for this Big 12 matchup is scheduled for 10:15 p.m. EST, and the game will be broadcast on ESPN.

BYU took an eight-game win streak into last week’s contest vs. TCU. Despite having one of the better offenses in the conference and a solid defense, they were double-digit underdogs. However, Texas Tech proved the oddsmakers were right by shutting down the BYU run game and never allowing the passing game to gain any traction.  TCU is coming off a loss as well after falling to Iowa State on the road 20-17. Mistakes and special teams cost them as the Cyclones, as one interception led to an Iowa State touchdown, and the deciding score came via a punt return for a touchdown. TCU outgained Iowa State 432 to 272, but had three drives cut short due to turnovers.

The Horned Frogs are tied for 35th in the nation in turnover margin at .33; BYU is ranked No. 18 (.78).
