Taylor Fritz of the United States will go head-to-head with Jakub Mensik of the Czech Republic in a captivating men’s singles matchup at the 2025 Davis Cup on Friday.
As expected, Fritz will walk into the match as the betting favorite -350. Mensik emerges as an intriguing underdog at +240 because of his 4-1 record against the ATP top-10 this year.

With the Delray Beach Tennis Club hosting the Davis Cup second-round battle between the United States and the Czech Republic, it all seems that Taylor Fritz enjoys a clear advantage over Mensik because of his familiarity with the court condition at Delray Beach and a raucous American crowd that is expected to rally behind him and his teammates in this crucial Davis Cup pairing with the Czechs.
However, Mensik is a player Fritz shouldn’t take lightly, as he’s very much capable of beating a top-10 player. Mensik is 4-1 against the ATP top-10 this year. In fact, Mensik earned one of those upset wins against Fritz in the semifinal of the 2025 Miami Open, which he would eventually win by beating Novak Djokovic in the final.
