The New York Yankees and the Tampa Bay Rays will settle the score in Game 3 on Wednesday at Yankee Stadium.
After absorbing a 2-4 loss in Game 1, the Yankees got back up with a 7-5 win over the Rays in Game 2. New York erased an early 0-3 deficit with a four-run barrage in the fourth inning before securing the victory, thanks to a clutch homer by Anthony Volpe in the 8th inning. Volpe finished with two runs and two RBIs while Cody Bellinger came through with the momentum-shifting three-run homer in the third inning.
The Rays took their fourth loss in five games. They are still fourth in the AL East division with a 54-54 record, 8.5 games behind the pace-setting Toronto Blue Jays. Tampa Bay also misses several key players due to injury, including second baseman Brandon Lowe (foot).

The Yankees look like a logical pick to win again at home, where they are 32-22 in the season. The Yankees will start Will Warren (6-5, 4.82 ERA), who has been erratic in his last five starts. The same can be said for Rays starter Zack Littell, who surrendered five earned runs in his previous mound appearance against the Cincinnati Reds.
Given that we have no idea what we will get from the t starters, everything seems to boil down to whose offense will deliver the goods. In this case, I trust the Yankees, a team loaded with heavy hitters from top to bottom of the lineup. Tampa Bay also averages a measly 2.8 runs per game on a .198 batting average, making it hard for me to believe they can outscore the Bronx Bombers in this ballgame.
