Brandon Lowe hit his 17th home run on the season and Jose Caballero contributed to the win by going 2-3 with a double and an RBI. Gavin Williams took the loss for Cleveland as he went 5.1 innings and allowed 3 runs on 7 hits. The Guardians are trying to fend off the Kansas City Royals whom they hold a 4-game lead over in the AL Central. Tonight, they will turn to Tanner Bibee (11-7, 3.56) in hopes that he will be able to turn the tides in this series. He took a loss in his last start which came against the Dodgers where he allowed 2 runs on 4 hits through 5 innings of work. He will be countered by Zach Littell (6-9, 3.89) who just pitched 5 innings of shutout ball against the Orioles lineup. This is the only series that these teams will meet this season and Cleveland stands the most to lose as the Rays are not going to be heading to the postseason.
