=11.0ptThe Detroit Lions will host the Tampa Bay Buccaneers Saturday afternoon on Ford Field. This will be the 2nd straight home game for the Lions to start the season. In game one, they took on the visiting Los Angeles Rams this past Sunday night. They started off slow and trailed 3-0 after the 1st quarter but took a 10-3 lead into the half. After Jared Goff hit Jameson Williams to take what looked like a commanding 17-3 lead, the Rams battled back and took a late 20-17 lead. Goff led a last-minute drive and Jake Bates nailed a 32-yard field goal to send the game into OT. There, David Montgomery punched in a 1-yard touchdown to end the game on the 1st possession of overtime. The Bucs are also coming off a solid win in their opener. They controlled the game from the most part and pulled away in the 4th quarter against the Commanders. Baker Mayfield threw for nearly 300 yards and 4 touchdowns in the win. Mike Evans caught 2 to Chirs Godwin’s 1 touchdown from Mayfield. Their defense held Washington to just 2/8 on third down to put a damper on Jayden Daniels’ NFL debut.
