Tampa Bay ran out of steam in last week’s 23-28 loss to the New England Patriots. The result marked the second loss in three games for the Buccaneers, who covered 371 total yards in the loss. Quarterback Baker Mayfield threw for 273 yards with three touchdowns, but Tampa Bay’s defense failed to slow down the Patriots' top-flight offense led by quarterback Drake Maye. The Buccaneers, which rank 14th in the NFL in defense by allowing opponents to score 22.9 points per game, allowed the Patriots to cover 435 yards and drop 28 points on their head.

Meanwhile, the Bills got shellshocked by the Miami Dolphins 13-30 last week, dropping to 6-3 in the season. Buffalo quarterback Josh Allen covered 306 passing yards with two touchdowns and one interception, and yet his brilliant individual performance was still not enough to avert the upset by the Dolphins, who managed to score at least 30 for the second time this year. The Bills are second in the AFC East behind the 9-2 Patriots.
