The St Louis Cardinals (36-35) will complete their 3-game series with the Miami Marlins (23-49) on Wednesday. The Cards took game one and are currently tied 7-7 in the 7th with the Marlins in game two. Both games have been high scoring affairs as game one finished 7-6 and the final of game two will be a total of at least 15 runs. Center fielder, Michael Siani, has gone 3-7 with a double and 2 RBIs to this point for the Cardinals. Bryan De La Cruz has been a big part of the offense for the Marlins in the series. He has gone 3-9 with a home run and 3 RBIs. The likely pitching matchup in game three will be Kyle Gibson (5-2, 3.44) for the Cardinals and for the Marlins, it is still yet to be determined. Gibson looked strong in his last outing. He pitched 7 innings of scoreless baseball and gave up just 2 hits while striking out 6. It has been a bit odd that both teams have been able to score so many runs in the series. The Marlins are 23rd in baseball in batting average and 29th in total runs. The Cardinals have not been much better as they sit in 19th in average and just 27th in total runs.
