In a rare battle of two top 25 teams will take place on a Friday evening this week. The #12 St. John’s Red Storm travel to the #19 Connecticut Huskies in a battle of 2 of the top 4 teams in the Big East. This will be the 1st of 2 meetings between the teams in the regular season. St. John’s is arguably one of the hottest teams in the country with a 9-game winning streak and are at the very top of the Big East conference standings. They are coming off a 70-64 win over #11 Marquette on Tuesday. The Red Storm dominated the glass in the win. They finished with 43 total rebounds compared to the 21 that Marquette collected. Rebounding has been a big part of the success for St. John’s as they rank 17th in the country in total rebounding with 36.8. UConn battled back after a rocky start to the season where they lost 3 straight games to unranked teams by rattling off 8 straight wins.
