On the WTA side of things at the US Open, there's plenty for bettors and viewers to get stuck into on Tuesday. My first port of call will be the match between Sorana Cirstea and Solana Sierra, which looks likely a lovely opportunity for the Romanian to continue her fantastic form. Cirstea comes into the US Open having won the Tennis in the Land event in Cleveland last week, and it's fair to say that she was on fire, beating some very decent players in straight sets. The winner of three WTA Tour events, Cirstea clearly has her game in fine shape right now, losing only two out of 12 matches since switching back to a hard surface.
In contrast, Solana Sierra doesn't appear to be at her best, or at least she wasn't when we last saw her. The Argentine exited at the second-round stage in Cleveland last week, losing for the third time in four matches, and it's fair to say that the way in which she recently lost to both Iva Jovic and Emina Bektas in straight sets suggests that she'll struggle here.
