There's UEFA Europa League qualifying action due to take place on Thursday, where several European soccer venues will be filling up with fans, including Brann Stadion in Bergen, Norway, where SK Brann will take on Salzburg of Austria. This game will technically be Salzburg's first competitive game of the 2025/26 season. They'll go into this game off the back of losing a friendly to English Championship team Derby.
For the hosts, there should be no fitness or preparation concerns as we're right in the middle of the Norwegian season, meaning that the SK Brann boys should be nicely in the flow, and we can't underestimate how important that is. In contrast, Salzburg have had little time to rest and prepare having taken part in the Club World Cup following the conclusion of the Austrian domestic campaign back in late May, so they may not be fully ready for this test.
