Korda bounced back from losing a hard-fought battle for the first set by amping up the pressure on Popyrin. This aggressive offensive assault in the final two sets generated a major bulk of his 34 points behind the first ball and 24 points behind the second. He also scored five of his seven breakpoint conversions in the second and third sets.
