This NFC West is rapidly turning into one of this season's most closely fought divisions, and Sunday's encounter between the 49ers and Seahawks could go a long way towards deciding who progresses to the playoffs. The Seahawks desperately need a change in fortune, after a run of five defeats in their last six matchups. That run includes a 36-24 Week Six loss to the Niners, a game which saw San Francisco QB Brock Purdy deliver his best display of the season, throwing for three touchdowns and 255 yards. The Niners come into this one on the back of two narrow victories over the Bucs and Cowboys. Although they are yet to find the form that saw them reach last season's Super Bowl, they are steadily improving, and with star running back Christian McCaffrey back in the lineup, they will be confident of a strong second half to the season.
