The Seattle Seahawks (6-5 SU, 4-6-1 ATS) visit the New York Jets (3-8 SU, 3-8 ATS), the latter of whom seem to be in total free fall. The Jets were expected by some to be a contender, but Aaron Rodgers couldn’t hide the fact that this was a bad roster without direction. Things have only gotten worse for the Jets since changing coaches, as they have just one win in their past eight tries.
Seattle gave a strong performance at home for the first time in a while last time out, beating Arizona with a solid defensive effort. The Seahawks haven’t been putting up a lot of points, but they have weirdly been at their best offensively when playing on Eastern time. They’ve gone 2-1 in the Eastern time zone this year, and the one loss was to the almost invincible Lions. The last time the the Seahawks were in the East, they gave their best offensive show of the season in dropping 34 points on Atlanta.

The Seahawks have been playing with fire too often, but they seem to be far more focused away from home. When they aren’t distracted, they’re a pretty good football team. The wins the past two weeks suggest that the Seahawks might be hitting their stride at the right time. This is the kind of game that good football teams win.
