The Chicago Bears (4-11 SU, 6-7-2 ATS) seem to have mailed in the rest of the season as they visit the Seattle Seahawks (8-7 SU, 6-8-1 ATS). If the Bears hoped to light a fire under the team by firing Matt Eberflus, it’s clear that strategy has completely failed. Eberflus might have been a poor in-game coach, but at least the Bears played hard for him. In his final three games in charge, Chicago lost to three playoff teams by a combined seven points. Since then, the Bears have been squashed by 17 points or more all three times.
Seattle must win and get a little bit of help to keep hope alive. If the Seahawks can beat the Bears, they’ll likely set themselves up for a final showdown with the Rams for the NFC West title. There is a possibility of the Seahawks being eliminated if a couple results go the wrong way, but that requires a few unlikelihoods, such as the Browns winning and the Lions losing. The most likely possibility is that a Seattle win keeps them alive for the division.

This is likely going to be one-way traffic. The Bears have barely shown any interest since losing to Detroit on Thanksgiving Day, and they seem to have checked out as a team. Firing Eberflus did nothing to help this season, and the Bears have only looked more like a dumpster fire on both sides of the ball. Chicago is 0-7 SU on the road this year, and that looks unlikely to improve here.
Seattle probably isn’t a good team, but it’s been good enough to beat bad teams. The Seahawks have gotten to this point by beating up on the lesser half of the NFL, and they’re likely in prime position to do so again against this outfit. As long as the Seahawks don’t shoot themselves in the foot, they’re probably going to end up with a comfortable victory. Our prediction for Seattle vs. Chicago is Seahawks -3.5.
