Sassuolo will be looking to continue their encouraging start to the Serie A season when they host fourth place Roma at the Mapei Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
Last week's 0-0 draw at Lecce was Sassuolo's third game without defeat and moved them up to ninth in the Serie A standings. Whilst their tally of just eight goals in seven games is the joint lowest in the top half of the table, Fabio Grosso's side have been excellent defensively so far and have conceded just once in their last three fixtures.
Roma have also enjoyed a solid start to the campaign despite last week's 0-1 defeat to in-form Inter Milan. Like Sassuolo, Roma's strong start has been built on a solid backline. Gian Piero Gasperini's men have conceded just three times in their opening seven league fixtures and currently have the best defensive record in Serie A.
