The Philadelphia Phillies and the San Francisco Giants are headed to a deciding Game 3 on Wednesday after splitting the first two games of the series at Citizens Bank Park.
The Phillies have compiled a 10-7 record after three weeks of baseball, which puts them a game behind the 11-6 New York Mets. Despite mediocre numbers in pitching and batting (3.81 ERA, .241 BA with 70 runs), Philadelphia is surprisingly still a top-2 teams in their division that features a vastly improving Miami Marlins and perennial playoff contender Atlanta Braves.
It's safe to say the Giants are back after storming to a 12-5 record. All of a sudden, the National League West is shaping up to be a four-way battle between the Arizona Diamondbacks, San Diego Padres, San Francisco and the defending champion Los Angeles Dodgers. Jung Hoo Lee has emerged as the most efficient slugger on the team, batting .333 with 12 RBIs and 3 homers.
