The San Francisco 49ers (1-0 SU, 1-0 ATS) visit the Minnesota Vikings (1-0 SU, 1-0 ATS), but come into this matchup still without Christian McCaffery in the backfield. The 49ers didn’t need McCaffery to get past the New York Jets, as they piled up 180 rushing yards behind Jordan Mason, but the Jets’ offense just isn’t as dangerous as that of the Vikings.
Minnesota looked very good in blasting the New York Giants in the opening game, which could also be because of getting to face one of the weakest teams in the NFL. The Vikings controlled the game from start to finish and never let New York get comfortable. That’s probably not going to repeat itself against San Francisco, as the 49ers will move the ball much easier than the Giants did.

Minnesota looked the part with Sam Darnold under center, and Darnold has never really received a fair shot at being a starter in the NFL. With Minnesota, he has weapons on the field and the freedom to use them.
The 49ers controlled the game on Monday, but they were also at home and in a surprise situation with McCaffery not on the field. Minnesota will be more prepared than New York was, and the Vikings also have an extra day to rest over the 49ers as well as the advantage of home field.
