New York Liberty (12-6) and Las Vegas Aces (9-9) will meet on Tuesday night at Barclays Center. The Liberty will be looking to record a big victory in this matchup and go on a winning run after dropping their standards this season. The defending champions dropped three of their last four matches to move to position three in the overall league standings. They are also just a game ahead of second-placed Atlanta in the East, making this somewhat of a must-win game.
Las Vegas Aces, meanwhile, are struggling this season, and a win against a top side like the Liberty could restore their confidence. Much of their problems have been due to squad depth issues and incorporating new talent. A’ja Wilson’s injuries have also hindered the team’s progress. Despite their struggles, they blew out the struggling Connecticut 68-86 last weekend, and will want to build on that performance with a big night in New York.
