New Orleans Pelicans and San Antonio Spurs will clash at the Smoothie King Center on Friday night. The Pelicans started the season on the wrong foot after slumping to a six-point defeat on the road against the Grizzlies. However, they can take many positives from the game after Zion Williamson recorded 27 points and nine rebounds. Herbert Jones, Jordan Poole, Trey Murphy 3, and Jeremiah Fears also scored double figures. They'll be fired up to bounce back at home.
San Antonio Spurs, meanwhile, started the season with a 92-125 statement win over Dallas Mavericks. They looked highly motivated with the return of Victor Wembanyama, who bagged 40 points and 15 rebounds. Stephon Castle also had a great night after contributing 22 points and seven rebounds. The Spurs controlled the paint excellently, with Wembanyama getting consistent touches. They certainly have what it takes to win their second game on the bounce.
