Washington hosts Rutgers in what appears to be a chance for the Huskies to get their offense rolling again. It’s been a tough couple weeks for the Washington offense, as they faced a dominant Ohio State defense and then had to go cross-country and eke out a win at Maryland. Both of those teams have been rock solid on defense, so it’s likely got more to do with that than the Huskies’ offense.
Rutgers is not as strong on that side of the football. The Scarlet Knights also haven’t played anywhere near as tough of a schedule as Washington has, as they’re coming off games against Iowa and Minnesota. While those are decent Big Ten teams, neither is anywhere near the caliber of Ohio State. If Washington is going to get healthy, this is its time to do it.

Rutgers has changed a lot over the past few seasons. The Scarlet Knights used to be a good cure for insomnia on offense, but they’re now at the point where they can genuinely put up points with some of the best offenses in the Big Ten.
They will have to score plenty to keep up with Washington, which has been itching to get its offense going after the past two games. There’s also the fact that the Huskies are coming off a loss in Husky Stadium, which had been their fortress. Granted, the loss was to Ohio State, but still, Washington will not have been happy having lost that game.
