Renato Moicano vs Chris Duncan Prediction & Picks - UFC Fight Night

In the main event of UFC Fight Night on Saturday night, the fans will be treated to a Lightweight battle between Renato Moicano (20-7-1) and Chris Duncan (15-2-0). Moicano currently sits in the 10th slot of the rankings, while Duncan is hoping to crack the top 15 with a win over him here.

Duncan has won 3 of his last 4 fights by submission. Something he had done only once in his previous 14 fights. While his current 4-fight win streak has been impressive, none of his opponents were of any true notoriety. This fight against Moicano will easily be the highest-profile fight of Duncan’s current 7-year career.

For Moicano, he is looking to avoid a 3-fight losing streak. He is coming off back-to-back losses to Islam Makhachev in early 2025 and most recently to Beniel Dariush in June of last year. While we mentioned the lack of top-tier opponents for Duncan, Moicano has had no lack of big opponents through his last 5 fights. The Makhachev loss was his first opportunity at a title shot, and while it was not the outcome he had hoped for, it was a strong learning experience.

Moicano’s fight against Dariush was likely too quick a turnaround after the Makhachev fight. Now, he is getting a full camp to prepare for this matchup with Duncan. He should be in better shape, both mentally and physically, this time.
