One of the many Major League Soccer stadiums to see action this weekend will be America First Field, where Real Salt Lake and St. Louis City will go up against each other for the first time in 2025. This is a fixture between two teams trying to move towards more favorable league positions, a game between teams not currently in the all-important play-off places. The hosts find themselves down in an unflattering 13th position, while the visitors are slightly worse off in 14th, sitting four points behind their hosts.
Fortunately, the RSL boys have perked up a little of late, avoiding defeat in three of their last four, losing none of their last two, though they have won just one of their last nine, which is a problem, let's be real. Pablo Mastroeni's men need to improve, though they may find it hard to do that without their best player on Saturday. Diego Luna is currently playing at the CONCACAF Gold Cup, leaving RSL somewhat short of offensive quality. The visitors have no key players away on international duty, but they are still without Eduard Lowen, who is a key player. They've also lost three of their last four and are without a win during that time, so this really is a game between teams that need to do more.
