Likely to start either very late on Thursday evening or very early on Friday morning for those situated stateside, the Brisbane International match between Raphael Collignon and Brandon Nakashima is a rather interesting one indeed. Nakashima, as the higher-ranked player, is the early favorite, but I'd argue that he's a little too short given the recent form shown by his opponent.
Collignon has now beaten three higher-ranked players to reach this stage, while the young Belgian looked like a rapidly improving player when beating former tournament champion Grigor Dimitrov last time out. With that performance under his belt, I really woudln't be surprised if the 23-year-old recorded another impressive win.

Our Raphael Collignon vs Brandon Nakashima Prediction
I'll be the first to admit that I bet against Raphael Collignon during the previous round, but the Belgian defied the odds to defeat former Brisbane International winner Grigor Dimitrov in straight sets. As far as I'm concerned, that was a statement win, so much so that the improving Belgian should be respected a little more ahead of this match.
Having beaten Dimitrov, Collignon should be full of confidence, and let's face it, this is probably no harder task, so the market should probably have the man who has won eight out of eight sets in Brisbane priced a little shorter. Take the value that +130 offers.
