One of the more interesting matches, at least from a betting point of view, taking place on Wednesday at the ATP event in Halle, also known as the Terra Wortmann Open, sees Quentin Halys take on Daniil Medvedev. Ranked much higher than his opponent, Medvedev, who is currently classed at the world number 11 by the ATP, is a strong favorite to win this, and as we saw the Russian make light work of picking up a straight-set win during the first round, that's hard to argue with.
Medvedev wasn't the only one to win nicely during the first round, with Quentin Halys also getting the job done in straight sets, beating fellow Frenchman Benjamin Bonzi. Unfortunately for the man ranked 48th, he's now up against a much tougher opponent. Daniil Medvedev reached the final of this event back in 2022 and he'll be looking to go deep this time around too. Having easily beatn Halys in straight sets when the pair last met, it's hard to see anything other than a routine win for the clearly superior competitor.
